The game pits two teams against each other: the Terrorists and the Counter-Terrorists. Both sides are tasked with eliminating the other while also completing separate objectives. The Terrorists, depending on the game mode, must either plant the bomb or defend the hostages, while the Counter-Terrorists must either prevent the bomb from being planted, defuse the bomb, or rescue the hostages. There are nine game modes, all of which have distinct characteristics specific to that mode. The game also has matchmaking support that allows players to play on dedicated Valve servers, as well as allowing members of the community to host their own servers with custom maps and game modes. Valve released the new CS:GO July 23 patch, bringing the new maps Chlorine and Jungle have been removed from official matchmaking.
This topic will be interesting to every novice player in the CS GO, and by and large to those who decided to become the most useful player in the competitive mode – those who give accurate and important information about finding opponents, may not even stand out for shooting and have a minimum number of frags. And so, as you already guessed, it will be a question of CS GO cards. The most notable innovation were two cards Sub-Zero and Biome.
They are available so far only for non-rated games, but on the contrary Austria map was added to the rating matchmaking. But the balance of the cards should be maintained, so by adding two new cards, Valve removed two old ones: Shipped and Insertion are excluded from all modes. The Canals card has been withdrawn from rating games.
New maps look extremely interesting and atmospheric, especially the northern lights on Sub-Zero. The card has a positive impression, but it is worth being extremely careful with all sorts of traps. There are many places for ambushes, deceptive maneuvers and hidden games.
CS:GO patch introduces new maps and improves Trusted Mode
Knowing the callouts of the map you are about to play is a very vital part of playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive because it helps communicate better to your teammates about the opponents. The better you are at communicating with your teammates, the better they will be able to help you, so learning the callouts of a map is a very good idea before trying out a new map. Mirage is arguably the most popular map in the game. A joy to play and a joy to watch professional players play on.
New Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Map Changes have decided to remove two maps from CSGO’s community matchmaking, specifically.
New community maps have arrived in CS:GO. Swamp and Mutiny will be replacing Chlorine and Jungle in the official game modes. You can try out the new additions via Scrimmage without endangering your rank. The bugfixes in the update deal with smaller issues. Most notable is probably that the explosion from decoy grenades no longer deal damage to teammembers. You can read the full patch notes here:. Today we have a number of updates. Chlorine and Jungle have been removed from official matchmaking and Mutiny and Swamp have been added.
Just like Anubis prior, we might be seeing new maps Swamp and Mutiny in the competitive matchmaking mappool. So we took a closer look at them for you. The map has several choke points and feels very narrow. To compensate for that the skybox on the map is completely open, enabling massive room for creative grenade usage.
Nevertheless the map seems too complex for a spot in the competitive mappool. But with several adjustment it might just be one of the prettiest maps that makes the cut.

Why is it so popular? What the hell is that Scottish guy saying? Having worked on the recent Cache and Season remakes, and some more famous maps besides, Shawn is known for his immaculate art style and well-balanced, flavourful levels. At every major tournament, I see professional players playing the same maps in new and unexpected ways.
The game of Counter-Strike is one of nuance and delicacy, and in part, this is because of its maps. Wall-clipping exploits, next-to-invisible sniper spots or a wildly imbalanced terrain advantage make me reeeaal grumpy.

In the same way that previous Valve product releases showcased new graphics technologies, CS:GO map renovations in addition to themed Operation releases have become new benchmarks for Source engine graphics capability. Upon first appraisal, the redesign featured plenty of classic vistas that have been redesigned and retouched with comeptitive play in mind.
This is because Valve separates competitive maps into two groups: active maps and reserve maps. Currently, there are seven stages in the active map pool:. Maps added in conjunction with themed Operations typically enter this category. For this to be the case, Valve needed to remove one of the maps in the current rotation. Therefore, I would like to offer a couple of suggestions up as potential courses of action. Just hear me out. Upon first inspection of these diagrams, santorini right is a flatter and smaller arena than dust2.
Take a look at the general routes that exist on santorini. The paths from either spawn points to each bomb site or contest point take about the same amount of time to reach.

Maps are the space or arena where players confront one another. This term is used almost exclusively when describing multiplayer games. Maps in the Counter-Strike series pit Terrorists against Counter-Terrorists in real-world style locations. In some map scenarios, players are awarded money for completing the map’s objectives or by eliminating players from the opposing team.
Arsenal scenario maps rewards players with new weapons for completing objectives. There was an unreleased map for this mode that was leaked in the Danger Zone update, XL Dust , which was later released under the name Sirocco.

Esports has been synonymous with Counter Strike from its early days. Since its inception as a Half-life mod in , the first-person shooter has undergone numerous iterations over the decade leading up to the current Global Offensive. While several competitive tournaments were organised over the years, Valve kept polishing the game and it eventually evolved to come on top with the release of Global Offensive in CS:GO esports had finally arrived. The esports industry was dominated by the first-person shooter or FPS genre earlier.

After reading this guide, you should be able to understand what goes on during professional CS:GO competitions so that you can watch those matches comfortably.
You will be playing in a team of five players going against the rival team of the same number of players. The two teams comprise terrorists and counter-terrorists also referred to as CTs trying to eliminate each other in an asymmetrical map. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Map Update Finally Brings A Place To Sit On Mirage
A new CSGO update has removed two maps, Jungle and Swamp, from community matchmaking as well as adding two brand new ones into the mix. In addition to the maps, devs also removed the option to turn off Trusted Mode. The mode has caused some trouble for users of some software, but the developers also added a new launch command to help take off some of that pressure. In the past, turning off Trusted Mode has negatively affected a player’s Trust Factor.
It’s possible this is still the case, so players should be warned of the possibility before using the new launch option. Mutiny and Swamp are now live in CSGO, and they’re both impressive efforts from community map creators.

Anubis and Chlorine have been picked to replace Studio and Breach in the map pool. That being said, I absolutely love the new entries. Anubis and Chlorine finished first and second in the Mapcore map contest, respectively, and boy oh boy do they deserve the spotlight. Anubis is a visual stunner. I would argue the most beautiful CS:GO map to date. I do have slight concerns about gameplay as it does feel a bit too closed up at times, to a degree of saturation.
How Do You Make A Professional Counter-Strike Map?
The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive devs introduced new Scrimmage Maps to their competitive matchmaking offerings to the game, giving players a valuable mode to play with. CS:GO features legendary maps that have been around for years, but even pros and diehard players routinely find new angles and nade lineups throughout a location.
Even though this playlist falls under the competitive matchmaking tab, its biggest draw is that games are unranked and a team composed of any skill-ranking can party up together. This makes playing the game a lot more forgiving for people who want to experiment or just learn a new map in a live setting instead of the stale environment of jumping into an offline practice session.
CS:GO’s competitive map pool can be improved with two swaps by casual and amateur players because CS:GO’s matchmaking system takes too long to find.
The latest update for CS:GO is a significant one. Two maps have been added to the Defusal Group Sigma competitive pool, one of which is the popular Seaside map and the other a new one called Breach. Breach is, according to the CS:GO blog, “a defusal map set in a spacious corporate building”. If you want to try the new maps they’re in Deathmatch and Casual, and are also available as Scrimmage maps under the Competitive tab. Scrimmage is a five-on-five mode which doesn’t affect your Skill Group.
As Valve explain it: “When you play a Scrimmage map all of the competitive rules are the same, but there are no restrictions on players in your party, and your Skill Group will not be adjusted or displayed after your match. On the way out is the Workout map, which will no longer pop up in official matchmaking. The Vertigo map has also been modified in some pretty significant ways including new approach to site B.
